Hiking, Tracking & Nature Awareness
Spring and summer hikes are immersive journeys through active ecosystems. You'll develop an understanding in observation, tracking, and ecological awareness as you'll learn to read the landscape—identifying animal signs, plant communities, and seasonal patterns. Traditional forest knowledge informs how humans have historically moved through and used the land during these productive seasons.
Autumn hikes focus on preparation and transition. You'll learn to recognize signs of animal feeding, migration, and readiness for winter, while gaining insight into how ecosystems and human practices shift with the season. Traditional knowledge helps contextualize these observations within long-term land-based living.
Guided hikes that combine movement through the landscape with tracking, ecological observation, and seasonal awareness for a deeper connection to the land.
